Rise Up Ministries International

December 2011

Were hosted a Christmas Party for orphans under a ministry that deals with HIV/Aids affected orphans who lost their parents to the illness. These kids are homeless and had to be placed with a family member who, due to circumstances, is also battling. These kids are with their ailing grandparents who collect a meanial grant that barely covers their own lives. Needless to say, the party for the kids ended bigger than we expected. We hosted a party for 420 kids and ended up with over 900 children came in floods as their saw the party going on. It was a blessing to be able to bless those extra kids that came. This opened my eyes to the need in that community. I have undertaken to help as much as I can where I can. I have been in contact with the local municipality and will wait, no matter how long, for their input. Till then, This informal settlement has become one of my babies. The creche I mentioned before is part of this settlement.

December 2011

I was approach by a church in Malawi for assistance with their building. This is another baby of mine.

January 2012

The creche project took on its own identity and has show light on on a greater picture that would benefit other needy creches in other surrounding informal settlements

February 2012

I began speaking at social events for abused women...rape survivors. This took on its own identity as I found my diary full with request for me to speak at other events. Other churches and ministries began to invite me to minister in their churches and for their events. This worked well with the fact that I had already begun motivational talks with group of abused women.

March 2012

I saw my service expand. I did a function with another ministry where I was meant to counsel the youth that function was aimed at. At the same time I did the catering for the function, helped from the planning process through to the end.

April 2012

As a member on the management board of a safe house for abused women, I attended a management meeting. Once done, I walked around the premises to see the work done so far on the church/community building. It was evident that not much has been done or could be done on it, due to lack of funding. This lead me to compassion, I can not turn away from this and not help. They serve our community as best they can. (2015-Most of the building is done,  but it is still in progress)

2013

Projects began to assist abused women with skills development.

2014

The prison ministry has expanded and we began covering other smaller NPOs and assisting them with growth. Became Chairperson for a shelter for abused women. Been Nominated Africa's Most Influential Women of the Year (Continental)

2015

Due to personal medical issues, I was hindered for most part of the year (Been diagnosed with a spine disease and other complications that were caught too late), but from September I took on the challenges head on and went back into full time ministry. God has been expanding His kingdom greatly and I have committed myself to follow and be obedient to the Spirit. We officially took on a crèche at a local informal settlement and will be treating is as our own. We need assistance with maintenance, school/educational items, etc. The kids hosted at the crèche are all taken care of free of charge as it is in an impoverished area. Became Chairperson for a shelter for abused women. Nominated for Africa's Most Influential Women of the Year (Continental)

2016

Time to change focus, we will retain the work that we do but will enforce the mentorship, life coaching and counselling. We have started a Street Kids Education Project, Re-Integration, Mentorship, Life Coaching, and similar projects aimed at abused women, building them up and strengthening them, enabling them to break the chain of abuse. Received an Award for Phenomenal Women. Started programs at the womens shelter twice a week: Skills Development and Life Coaching.

2017

Remained Chairperson for the Women Shelter. Accepted invitation to sit on other NGO boards that serve similar purpose as my ministry does. Street Kids ministry took a huge part of the year, as well as the abused women. Seminars were had to enhance the positivity of the ladies that I deal with. Programs at the shelter continue.

2018.

Street Kids ministry, Prison Ministry and Abused Womens Ministry continue. All programs continue as per usual. The organization seems to been extending itself to Coaching of others in their own organizations as requests have been coming in for assistance. Resigned as Chairperson from the Womens Shelter in June 2018 to follow the leading of the Spirit as the organization seems to be evolving once again.

2019

The organization has evolved totally and has taken on a holistic Community Development approach. All other divisions and projects still remain. But greater projects are in store for 2019. Rise Up Ministries has begun new divisions around the world, and hosts weekly mentorship session with each division individually. This does not lesson the importance of any of the other projects that are been hosted by the organization. I have also accepted the role as Chairperson, on request, of a Womens Empowerment Group.
